Reminder: don’t allow yourself to give in to the temptation of apologizing for your limitations, boundaries, or priorities.

I know it’s difficult — we all sometimes find ourselves using language and tone that implies fault or apology for things we have no business being sorry for. You are a human being, not a machine. Accepting the limitations of what you’re able to do should not be a shameful thing. When others expect more of you than you can reasonably give, there is no apology in being honest with them (and with yourself), and no need for offering explanations, justifications, or “unfortunately’s.” It’s not unfortunate that you’re a living, breathing, fallible, changeable organism.

Don’t allow yourself to give in to the temptation of apologizing for your limitations, boundaries, or priorities.
