The Grande Coquille Earrings
Romantic and sculptural, these earrings were inspired by Boticelli, 80’s Art Deco revival shell motifs, and very old jewelry — specifically a style of earrings popular in ancient Roman culture known as “crotalia.” Crotalia earrings would typically feature two or three dangling beads or pearls, and the name is a reference to the Greek word describing the sound they would make as they move.
The Grande Coquille earrings were hand carved in wax before being cast into solid metal, and feature a trio of lustrous freshwater pearls. Designed to complement the rest of the Coquille line.
